We stayed at Casa Bela for 2 weeks as a family with three young children.
The first thing to say is the communication between the hosts David, and Maxine, was fantastic.
The offering here is very special. The villa is beautifully presented, immaculately clean, yet homely and comfortable. The grounds are spacious but manageable when running around after children, or wandering around the many places to chill. A particular plus for us being the retractable sun canopy, offering that all important shaded spot right by the pool.
As for the area itself. Aljezur is wonderfully Portugese, offering some of the most spectacular beaches the Algarve has to offer. Beautiful cuisine, friendly people and a relaxed pace. Nothing here not to love.

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful and extremely well equipped villa. The nearby beaches were great for surfing and it was fantastic to have body boards, wetsuits and beach equipment for our use. We enjoyed meals out at the local restaurants and found the little supermarket was great for picking up a few items. We would definitely recommend this villa and David and Maxine were really helpful in answering any of our questions and providing information about the local area. A great place for a holiday!

We had a fantastic break at Casa Bela. It felt like home from home with everything provided and spotlessly clean. The villa is in a lovely quiet spot, perfect for us! There is a small local shop and couple of nice bars/restaurants in walking distance and plenty more within a short drive.
We spent most of our time exploring the local cliff and beach walks. so many to choose from and absolutely stunning scenery! Perfect weather helped too, blue skies throughout.
It was a bonus that we could start some walks straight from the front door and others only a very short drive. Maxine and David were great hosts and communication with them was excellent. We look forward to visiting again soon.
We spent 10 days in Casa Bela and would like to come back. We have already stayed in various houses around Aljezur, as we often book very spontaneously, Casa Bela appealed to us the most.
The house has a wonderful pool that is in the sun almost all day, which is a big plus especially in autumn.
We were also very pleased with the practical fly screens. There are also mosquito plugs in every room and a Bluetooth box is available for guests.
The house was very clean and we even received a "welcome package" with food and drinks in the fridge on arrival.
All in all, the house has everything you need for the perfect holiday in the Algarve, plus lots of great extras that you will appreciate afterwards.

2 nd time at Casa Bella and what a wonderful stay , the villa is well equipped with everything you need, lovely roof terrace to enjoy the views of Monchiqui mountains in the distance, pool is a real treat after a hot day sightseeing, plenty of places to eat within walking distance , local shop has most things you will need , including a cafe to enjoy hot fresh croissants. Ourselves and our friends really enjoy staying at Casa Bella and cannot wait to return. Lovely local beaches , beautiful walks with plenty to do.

We had a wonderful 2 weeks at this place. The house is spacious and clean, and us 4 adults and a 5-month-old baby found most of what we needed. There was a bed and bathtub for babies, which were of good use for us. Especially the fully equipped kitchen is to be highlighted, since usually holiday homes have only the most basic tools - not this one though! We cooked for ourselves most of the days and found everything we needed in this kitchen. We loved the rain-showers and were very grateful for the mosquito-nets on every window. Some of us found the beds were a little uncomfortable, but other than that we absolutely loved this place and wouldn't hesitate to go back there.

We all feel so blessed to be able to come to this beautiful place in the year 2020! Appreciated every minute of our stay here and really didn't want to leave. As always the Villa is beautiful and the new bathroom and shower great. Feels like a home from home.
Went to all our favourite beaches; Monte Clerigo, Amoreira, Arrifana and Amado. Stayed late on the beach cafe at Amado to enjoy the sunset. Got up early on the roof terrace to enjoy the sunrise over the mountains in the distance! Ventured down the short cut to Amoreira beach at low tide, down to the river and crossed it - great fun.
Went to Lagos for some Padel coaching and a game - great added extra.
Meals out at Joses, Varzea, Maxi Warung and Sector B. Loved the Thai so much we went back again!
Weather has been amazing, hot, sunny and beautiful blue sky. The pool has been so welcome to cool off in and also our regular 'fitness' swims.
All in all a wonderful holiday.

Stayed here for 1 week and enjoyed every minute. The villa is like brand new, so clean and well equipped, the owners even thought of pool toys for the kids. Location is great being in a quiet part of a very busy Algarve...a short drive to fantastic beaches. The Wifi was strong and fast and the endless supply of English TV channels kept the kids occupied during a cloudy morning. Cath who looks after the villa locally was great, she made sure we had all the information we needed for a faultless holiday. Thanks for the welcome pack, it was much appreciated. Wonderfully well appointed Villa Near the Historic Town of Aljezur. Comfortable, modern and welcoming it is a stones throw from great beaches and walking distance to shops and great restaurants. So much information in the villa on how things all work, you can settle in quickly and relax. We would stay here again.
Casa Bela - Aljezur - Back again - what more can we say, 5 out of 5 - September 2018
This is our second stay at Casa Bela so we knew what to expect. If anything we enjoyed it more than our first visit. It is in a lovely largely unspoilt area and the villa is just perfect for a family holiday with everything you need. The welcome from the manager Cath was spot on - the welcome pack was a lovely touch after our journey from the UK. The pictures and the description on the website are really accurate so there are no surprises. The kitchen is well equipped with nice english touches (teapot, toaster) as well as lovely Portugese style. There is a dishwasher as well as a washing machine in the garage - clothes dry very quickly on the rotary line outside. The swimming pool is lovely and this year I used it more and enjoyed some fitness swims every day. The nearest beach is less than 10 minutes away and is the most family friendly beach in the area with easy access, toilets and 3 cafes. There are lots of other beaches close by within 20 minutes or so. We also liked to visit some of the more remote beaches which required a 20 minutes scramble to get down but so worth it once you are there. There is a very small supermarket 5 minutes walk away which while quite pricey is just so convenient with a small cafe attached - they do lovely fresh orange juice, a great cafe leitte which is just so wonderful with a Portugese Tart! Within 20 minutes walk there are maybe 6/8 restaurants and within 20 minutes drive there are over 20 to choose from. Generally you pay less in the restaurants than the UK particularly as the wine and coffee are so much cheaper - as an example the nearest restaurant 10 minutes walk away sells one litre of very passable house red for 6 euros!! A car is essential and car hire is always a challenge in Europe and I would strongly recommend buying hire car excess insurance in the UK before you leave - I hired a small 5 door car for 10 days for under £90 but they tried to get 250 euros out of me at Faro airport for excess insurance - fortunately I bought a years worth of excess insurance in the UK for under £40 before I left so declined everything - but it can be big pressure sell. You will have to hire a transponder from the hire compamy if you want to drive on the motorways. Finally David and Maxine - the UK owners do everything they can to make you feel welcome both before during and afterwards. We found this villa through a web search and had no connection with them beforehand.

What a beautiful villa , thank you to the Mills family who made it so very easy for us from startg to finish. If you're looking for a spacious and well equipped villa, relaxing location but also somewhere offering great beaches, great walks and some adventurous bike rides this is your place. Everything you need is in walking distance from the local shop to the bar/restraunts. Will be booking again.

Loved this villa. Well equipped with loads of little touches that help make your holiday easier - mosquito plugs, nets, as well as some fantastic beach and bike stuff. Really handy to be near the shop and bars too. Comfy beds, fast WiFi and a lovely outdoor space with the pool. Easy to get to the beaches as well if you fancy something different. Would definitely recommend this to any family.

Casa Bella is a fantastic villa, perfectly located close to several beautiful beaches. The villa comes equipped with everything you could possibly need, and more! The owners have gone above and beyond to ensure guests have an amazing holiday experience, providing everything from cling film, hand soap and condiments in the kitchen, to a cool box, sun umbrella and wetsuits for the beach!! The private pool and the garden were absolutely lovely, but my favourite place was the roof terrace, a great place to spend an evening looking at the stars and enjoying a glass (or 2!) of the local wine. There are several bars / restaurants and a small supermarket all within easy walking distance, with many more excellent restaurants and larger supermarkets within a short drive. We had a perfect week away, and would highly recommend this villa!

What a fantastic villa Casa Bela is. Just returned after 2 weeks in the Vale de Telha. David and Maxine have been the perfect hosts. Offering advise on places to visit - we did all of them ! The villa is spacious. Great for 2 couples or a family. Bedrooms a good size as was the kitchen and lounge area - which opened onto pool area. The area the villa is on was quiet with beautiful views out to Monchique, we loved the roof terrace. It was quiet and peaceful. Plenty of room for children in the garden. Lovely evening breezes and only needed the ceiling fans as there was a lovely breeze in the evenings to cool you. The pool is a very good size and kept clean each week by the pool lady. All in all we were sad to leave as we had a really lovely time.beaches are perfect for surfers and families - especially monte de clerigo - 5 mins by car. Arrafano another local beach and Ameraira beach bit to be missed and all a short drive away. We tried as much of the local food as we could and all were lovely. The people we talked to were all very helpful and lovely. A must is the Tuk Tuk ride around Lagos - really lovely. Thank you David and Maxine for letting us share your villa - we would love to come back at some point!

Highly recommended. This is a villa is beautiful and run with care and detail by the British owners. Every bit as nice as the pictures suggest. We were just delighted with everything from the welcome by Cath, the welcome goodies, the detailed guidance and the finishing touches. It is in a beautiful and largely unspoilt area but the busier beaches around Lagos are less than 45 minutes away. We preferred to stay local and the nearest beach is just 10 minutes drive and free parking. Some fantastic restaurants nearby (my favourite was Gulli's). There is a small supermarket 5 minutes walk and while prices are higher you can hardly complain at a hot croissant from the oven and fresh coffee for 1€ 65 in their little cafe. A car is essential but Faro is a easy run of around 75 minutes.

Casa Bela Villa is a lovely villa with its own pool and is a real home from home. It is situated in a quiet but beautiful location with easy access to many local beaches, the closest being literally 5 minutes by car. We have two kids aged 8 and 11 and they absolutely loved the pool spending hours in it every day. The owners also permit use of belongings such as wetsuits, beach chairs, pool toys etc which is a real nice touch. The nearest restaurants are only a 5 minute walk up the road as is the local shop where most provisions are available. All in all the accommodation is first class and we didn't want to come away. I would highly recommend it.
Fantastic Family Holiday, July 2017 - 5* out 5*
Perfect location very private and quiet yet only a short walk to a shop and restaurants! 5-10minute drive to beautiful beaches with perfect sand for sand castle building and playing in the waves or soaking up the sun-rays! The villa was perfect for us and our 3 children and had everything you could need from trampoline, swimming pool plus toys. It was very clean and tidy place even the grounds around it were very well maintained! It also had good broadband so when it was too hot the kids could sit in the shade and watch Netflix! Slightly longer drive will take you to Lagos which is a must! It has a great atmosphere in the evening eating food outside listening to the street entertainment it is fantastic! We also took a boat trip from here to see the beautiful coastline! The owners have thought of everything and our more than helpful we truly enjoyed our trip to Portugal and were sad to leave

We stayed at Casa Bela for a week in April 2017. From the second we booked the owners, David and Maxine, couldn't do enough for us. They clearly take pride in the villa, and with good reason. We were also delighted with Cath, who met us, took us to the villa and talked to us about the villa facilities and wider local area. This was definitely the best villa holiday we have been on, anywhere in the world, for the sheer amount of effort put into ensuring we had the best possible time. When we told Cath that our son had autism, she showed a really good understanding of the condition and gave us great advice on how to make the villa suitable. This was really appreciated and massively improved our holiday through increased peace of mind. I would suggest for this reason that the property is suitable for children with autism/disabilities. The villa was absolutely immaculate, with modern furniture and an extremely clean, well equipped kitchen. The bedrooms and bathrooms were very clean and the mattresses comfortable. The TV was large and had several international channels. There was a book with information about how to work things in the villa, and advice on places to visit. This was invaluable. The property has a large garage/storage area which included things like wet suits and bikes, but also useful things like children's car seats. This was fantastic. In summary, we would not hesitate to return and would have done so in the summer if it wasn't already booked up!

We enjoyed a family holiday with our 2 boys aged 9 and 11 along with their grandparents. The villa was great with plenty of space for us all and great facilities. The boys enjoyed the pool and the trampoline as well as games of football in the spacious garden. The local area is lovely, relaxing and wild at the same time. Beaches are great for surfing and body boarding which we did on a couple of days. We recommend Arrifana sunset surf for board hire, the hire shops on the beach are very overpriced. We can imagine the beaches and parking gets a bit chaotic in the main season but easy for us. The villa owners also have body boards, wetsuits and beach toys to use which is great. We cooked fish on the BBQ when the weather was good although the kitchen is well equipped (we made good use of the sandwich toasted!). The supermarket in Aljezur is very pricey although the market is good for fruit and fresh fish. We shopped in Lidl when visiting Lagos one day which was much more reasonable. All in all a fantastic holiday in a lovely spacious villa (inside and out!) all made even better by excellent communication from the hosts! Thank you

Before embarking we had looked at various resorts and thought that Vale da Telha, Aljezur was the one for us with grown up daughters. The owners handbook was very comprehensive with suggestions in relation to health care and car hire. We were asked for our ETA at the Villa before leaving the UK which with a rough estimate were passed on to our villa host. The car hire recommendations were excellent we chose Zip Auto which sounded a bit doubtful, as the paperwork is done out of the back of a van. But they were efficient and dealt with quite a crowd in an orderly manner, and before we knew it were on the road to the resort in a Renault Clio estate with a roarty exhaust not from the 3 cylinder engine. When we reached a certain point on our journey from the airport we texted Cathy with our car details so that she could hand over keys. On arrival at the village we met her and were escorted to the villa. Cathy then explained what we needed to know and some additions, which we found most useful. Resort hints for Shops Restaurants and nearby beaches. She also stated that she was always on hand if any issues arose. The local Aljezur Market did very well out of us with fresh fish, Fruit and vegetables. Must not forget Inter Marche supermarket near there which also has a garage as well at a better price than motorway services. Barbeque worked very well 1st time I had cooked fish on one the Sea Bass and Mackerel and Prawns, all tasted the better being fresh and tasty. All beaches and resorts were good clean and staff and locals helpful especially if you tried to speak Portuguese they spoke perfect English. A trip to the beaches nearby for sunset was do able. A drive to the highest mountain was testing but worth it. A drive to Sagres was inspiring as it was thought to be the 'end of the world' for so long. A good stay with some excellent memories Breakfast on the roof terrace each day, Marvellous.

Excellent villa, fully equipped and excellently maintained. The owners take great care and pride in their property to make your stay as relaxing and as enjoyable as possible. The surrounding area suits both the active and those who just want to relax. Take a dip in the lovely pool before sitting on the roof terrace with a nice glass of wine enjoying the lovely view of the surrounding area. There is a local, well stocked shop selling most things including pastries and bread baked on the premises. The shop and local restaurants are within easy walking distance and the surrounding area offers beautiful beaches and lovely scenery. Overall a fantastic villa to enjoy a well deserved holiday. Ten out of ten.

We have recently returned from a great two week holiday at the villa for our family of five with three boys aged 17, 17, 12. The villa and location suited our family really well for a relaxing but active holiday. The villa is very clean and really well equipped, we couldn't think of anything that was missing. The owners take great care in making sure the villa is of a high standard and that you are well looked after during your stay. From relaxing days by the pool to active days around the coast and larger towns in easy reach, the location of the villa allows the freedom and choice. Make sure you take in some of the spectacular sunsets. Food wise there are some very nice restaurants in easy reach or have your the choice of your own barbeque by the pool. So, all in all a great holiday was had by everyone and we certainly would not hesitate to recommend this villa to others.

This was our first foreign holiday abroad and what a holiday. Casa Bela is a fantastic villa which is very well appointed. Everything that you could ever need to make your holiday that little bit more special was there. The villa and gardens were well-maintained and the swimming pool was great. The children loved playing football and jumping on the trampoline. Vale de Telha was very quiet, which is just what we needed. Having said this the local shop and restaurants were a short stroll away, this was particular handy for watching Portugal win Euro 2016 (what and atmosphere). Hiring a car is a must, but it allowed us to explore the area and we visited some of the most beautiful beaches that we have seen, Monte Clerigo and Arrifana (10 minutes drive). We also visited Aljezur Castle and town, Lagos and Faro. Lagos was a favourite as the marina was stunning and it was only about 30 minutes away. Zoo Marine near Albufeira was also a great day out for all the family. We stayed for 10 days and we had a fantastic holiday. This was largely due to the villa as it was just what we needed, quiet and relaxing with plenty to see and do in the surrounding area. We will be back and have already recommended the villa to friends. The service and advice that David and Maxine provided was excellent from start to finish. Correspondence was dealt with very quickly and was very detailed and helpful. Welcome messages and wishing us a safe journey home really made us feel special and was very much appreciated. We were truly sad to leave and we thank David and Maxine for making our first holiday abroad very memorable.

We stayed for 9 nights having flown to Lisbon and driven down (3 hrs) to Vale de Telha. The villa is very well appointed and comfortable - the owners have paid a lot of attention to detail in the finish and presentation of Casa Bela Villa. Vale de Telha is (fortunately) not the touristy, crowded Algarve that many want to see - there are beautiful, uncrowded beaches and plenty of space. Casa Bela Villa is ideally situated, close enough to the local shop and restaurants but secluded and not overlooked (just one adjoining property and high hedges. Whether you want to surf in the Atlantic or relax by the pool, or a mixture of the two, Casa Bela is the perfect base - 5 mins drive from a lovely local beach and 20 mins from several other fantastic beaches. The pool at the villa is more than big enough for kids to play in or adults to lounge in - lovely at the end of a beach day. We shopped for fresh fish in Aljezur market and used the large barbeque at the villa on several nights. Beware that the Portuguese driving isn't that great - don't expect them to stay on their own side of the road all the time!

What an outstanding villa this truly is. Set in the beautiful area of vale de telha just 10 minutes drive from aljezur. The views are outstanding from the roof terrace. The area is peaceful and the villa itself is very secluded. The owner David takes lots of pride in his villa, It is spectacular and has everything you need for a relaxing week away in the sun. A car is essential due to the location, however you dont mind driving on these spectacular roads for distances as they are that quiet. We went with 2 children and found plenty to do for the week, our only regret is that we did not stay for longer! I highly recommend this villa and would go back again tomorrow in a flash. Thank you again to the owner David for a completely stress free and relaxing break in the sun.

We just have had the first trip of the year to our villa, we are lucky that our kids and grandparents could all travel together and all had a great time. Although much cooler than the summer the kids still braved the pool on most days! It's nice to see the additions and changes that have been made are coming together. The new landscaping to the rear garden looks good, it will be nice to see it mature over the next few years. The new wash down area has really helpful too, it saves a lot of messing about when returning from the beach so makes life much easier.
We had some lovely meals out, Primervera in Aljezur, opposite Marcella Properties did a fantastic lunch, their tropical salad was amazing. Sha Bouco at Vale Da Figueras was superb, very friendly and great food, well worth a visit and one of our favourites. Fortaleza at Praia Da Luz was superb, we had a stunning view, great service and fantastic menu of the day, great value. Finally, Sunday lunch at Solar Do Farelo near Portimao was great too, awesome food and value.

We have spent a lovely relaxing week at this lovely well equipped villa. The villa is spotless has everything that you would need, its comfortable and has plenty of space the pool is a welcome retreat to cool off and the villa is lovely and cool if you want to chill out inside. There is a nice shop within walking distance which is ideal and there are also some nice bar/restaurants also with easy walking distance so you can have a drink or two without having to drive. There is also plenty to see and do lovely beaches, castles (stunning views) and shopping. The owners have gone to great lengths to ensure your stay is comfortable and they have provided plenty of information for places to visit. We wish we could of stayed longer and will visit again.

The villa has everything that you need for a great holiday. If like myself you enjoy cooking the kitchen is well equipped with all the utensils , pans etc that you would need. A bonus for me was the sharp knives ( sad I know ! ) but It really winds me up when there isn't a sharp knife in the drawer when you're away . There is also a table and chairs that you can dine at on the roof which was really quaint .we did this a couple of times when not barbecuing . BBQ area is great with plenty of room. There are plenty of water toys for the kids so mine who are four and six years old we're thrilled. The trampoline was a hit also. If you don't want to cook every night as of course you're on holiday then there are 3 restaurants within walking distance. We had a great time , the local beaches were good. We went into Lagos a few evenings which is about a 30 minute drive but worth it as its a lovely vibrant town with lots of restaurants to choose from. A great place to stay at the villa as you can do as little or as much as you want.

We have just returned from 2 weeks in this villa and it was absolutely brilliant. We are a family of four, kids are aged 10 and 6, and everything we needed was here. The heated pool, large garden and villa itself is perfect, and there are lots of extras included like the inflatables for the pool, the equipment for the beach (parasol, sun tent etc), car booster seat...luckily as we had forgotten ours! The villa is not overlooked and so is very secluded and private. The accommodation is very new, clean and modern and ideal for a family or couples.
The village is peaceful and within a short drive to local beaches - Amoriera was our favourite! There is a local shop that provides most things and a supermarket within 5 mins drive too. There are two local bars/restaurants that you can walk to (5 mins) and they provide good value meals - we visited both several times and were always happy with the food and service which was really friendly.
We visited Slide & Splash water park which was great fun (we took the parasol and sun tent and were glad of the shade), Zoo-marina was another great day out, dolphin show, pirate acrobat act, and lots more - the kids loved it. We also took a boat trip with Days of Adventure in Lagos to see dolphins out in the Atlantic Ocean, and we did, and it was fantastic. Lagos is also good for a visit in the evening - there is good street entertainment and plenty of restaurants to suit all tastes.
We had days where we just stayed at the villa playing in the pool and garden and days out visiting attractions, beaches or just the beautiful coastline. All in all we had a brilliant family holiday (the weather was perfect, hot and sunny but not unbearable and perfect for kids). We will definitely book to holiday here again.

Your villa is wonderful and we're settling in very nicely after what has been a long day! We've been in the pool and the kids have loved going on the trampoline, swings and playing with the toys. We had a great evening meal at the restaurant around the corner so smiles all around.

Great villa within a 5 minute walk of shop and restaurants. Easy accessible to Monte Clerigo beach. Great facilities and well equipped villa. We would recommend to anyone looking to stay in Vale Da Telha.

We have recently had a superb holiday in Casa Bela, this beautiful villa is both spacious and immaculate with every facility for a perfect relaxing holiday. There is a lovely pool area and well maintained lawned garden. The area is perfect with superb walks in the nearby national park and great beaches close by. There is also a store and restaurants within walking distance. Guests can get the best out of their holiday with the very detailed information the owners have thoughtfully provided. Needless to say we have already rebooked!!!
A Great Villa Experience in a Beautiful Coastal Location”
My wife and I have just enjoyed a wonderful week at Casa Bela. Everything was just perfect - the location was great, the villa is spacious and well equipped and very comfortable and there was an abundance of information provided about the area, the facilities and things to do. The natural beauty of this coastline is unrivalled in my experience of visiting 54 countries and the choices of places to eat out are plenty and the high quality of the local / regional wines was a real surprise. Everything is so affordable in this location ! A really enjoyable and relaxing holiday and we shall be back !!

Wonderfully well appointed Villa Near the Historic Town of Aljezur. Comfortable, modern and welcoming it is a stones throw from great beaches and walking distance to shops and great restaurants. So much information in the villa on how things all work, you can settle in quickly and relax. We would stay here again.

Casa Bella is a fantastic villa, perfectly located close to several beautiful beaches. The villa comes equipped with everything you could possibly need, and more! The owners have gone above and beyond to ensure guests have an amazing holiday experience, providing everything from cling film, hand soap and condiments in the kitchen, to a cool box, sun umbrella and wetsuits for the beach!! The private pool and the garden were absolutely lovely, but my favourite place was the roof terrace, a great place to spend an evening looking at the stars and enjoying a glass (or 2!) of the local wine. There are several bars / restaurants and a small supermarket all within easy walking distance, with many more excellent restaurants and larger supermarkets within a short drive. We had a perfect week away, and would highly recommend this villa!
